baby girl shower!!

Food Table: We had a meat tray, Fruit Kabobs, and a strawberry/spinach leave salad!

As a "getting to know you" game, which we played through out the whole shower, I made little paper diapers and put a surprise in on, which said "pink pink you stink..WINNER" and when anyone said The mother to be's name, we passed it to the right, if anyone said the word "baby" we passed it to the left, and if anyone said "girl" we passed it across. It was pretty fun!
Alphabet diaper bag game... Guests must guess what is in the diaper bag, there is one item for every letter in the alphabet.

"I"-infant onesie (I decorated)

Diaper/bow/bracelet Cake

Cupcake in a baby jar as the "Thank You"

Wipe Cover Cases

I thought they turned out pretty cute for being the first one's I've made!

Fun Shower!

My creative cousins put together a super cute Safari Baby Shower for another cousin. All the food related to animals...take a look: I made the Rabbit Food and Swamp Juice!
Monkey Pull apart bread, Rabbit food: Spinach leave, strawberry salad

Zebra Tails: White choc dipped marshmallows, drizzled with milk Chocolate.
Snake Skins: Bread Sticks
Giraffe Spots: Caramel popcorn drizzled with milk chocolate

Pigs in a blanket: hot dogs covered in a croissant roll
Elephants treat: Chocolate Cupcake with Peanut Butter frosting (SO SO YUMMY!)

Swamp juice....Doesn't it look YUMMY!!!

I found the recipe HERE and adapted it to the safari theme: I used Ginger Ale, and kool-aid berry blue flavor. I also froze gummy worms and bugs in the ice cubes!

We played one game where we had to match the animals with how long they are pregnant for in days...like a cat is 63 Days. We then got some animal crackers as favors!

What I've been up to....

Pictured below: matching burp clothes and Blanket (gift for my Cousin)

Insanely cute blanket, and since I don't have girls my friend gets to reap the rewards!

I've made a few things that are not pictured.. like matching bibs & burp clothes, boy car seat cover, other flower girl blanket. Life has sure been fun with two monsters, but a lot more difficult to make stuff!

Blankets!

My first blanket is what I call a Chenille.. and it took about 7 hours to sew all the lines and then about one to bind it, and about 2 to wash and dry it. Every time I have made a blanket like this I tell my self I will NEVER make another.. yea well, guess what... I made my Little guy one! I sure hope it last for a while because my sewing machine was being a PAIN and kept not catching and it was so awful.
I was really happy with how it turned out, It has the Soft minky fabric on the back, (first time ever sewing with that kind of fabric!)

The Second blanket is a Self Binder blanket. They are super simple to make, but absolutely HATE making them.. 1 because my corners never turned out right so they were ugly, and 2 if you want the corners to turn out right you HAVE to iron them.. well I DON'T iron..
My good friend Harmony came over and wanted to make one.. So I had my mother in law help us because I hated making them so much.. and she ironed my corners for me!! So my blanket actually turned out this time, and I just may make another.. but I do know I will have to iron it.. Harmony's turned out really pretty it was made of flannel and the Minky soft stuff.. which I just may have to copy and do one with the soft stuff because it turned out sooo cute!
